Default Sumitomo HTR Z or Dunlop SP Sport 8000

Anyone had experience with either of these?

Looking to buy 2 275 x 40 x 17 and 2 315 x 35 x 17.

I recently put a pair of the Sumitomos on the rear of my Z (315). They are quiet and sticky. Way better off the line traction that the GSCs. As soon as the front GSCs wear out I will probably put a pair on the front.

I have Sumatomo 315/35-17 HTZ's on my '87 and they are ROCKS!!!

The 255/50-16 Comp TA's I had on the car before I upgraded had more grip.

Next time it's Kumho's. Better tire, better price.

I had the Dunlop SP 8000s on my car, 275 front and 315 rear. They worked pretty well although I think they are expensive; mine came packaged with my wheels. Decent street tires, reasonably grippy, and very good in the rain.

I recently put Sumitomo HTR-Zs on the front (haven't swapped the rears yet). So far so good. I think the grip is comparable to the SP 8000s. One thing I immediately noticed is that they are *much* quieter. I can't comment on the wet traction or treadlife since I haven't had them long enough.

I had the Sumitomo's on Grand Sports rims. They gripped great but wore fast. Great bang for buck. I found the Dunlop 8000's tramline when I used them in the past.
