New owner have ?'s

I have a 96 that I just got.. And I need to put new tires on it.. The owner that I got it from had 245/45/17 on all four.. is that a bad thing? Because tonight I got looking and I know the back rims are a bit wider.. right? Should I put 255/45/17 on the front and 275/40/17 on the back?
Or what should I get? Thanks guys... :D

I think the stock setting are:

17"x8.5" 255/45/17
17"x9.5" 275/40/17
17"x11" 315/35/17
