Default Your review on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires

As the title states I'm looking for your review on the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 tires. ( I have found a review of the older version of this tire having cracking problems but that can happen with any tire maybe the new tire has a fix) Have you had them on your own car? Are you a mechanic and have seen these tires come through your business? The tire size I want is 275/40 ZR 17 but I don't see it listed on the website, however the next tire size that would work is a 255/40 ZR17. As you can tell I'm doing early homework on tires that I may need next year.

It is early fall and needed to changed out of my summer performance tires into something more compatible with the cooler autumn temps. The Michelin Pilot Sport AS3 promised great handling and ride quality with all-season capability. Driving a sports car on summer performance tires can really spoil you when it comes to handling expectations and I can happily report that these tires do live up to the hype. The turn in and responsiveness is incredible considering that it's an all season tire. The wet traction is remarkable. They were very well composed with zero hydroplaning issues at highway speeds in a couple of very hard rain storms. I did drive them on a very icy morning and while, not nearly as capable as a winter tire, I found them to be very stable and predictable when dealing with the slippery over passes. Treadwear is still an unknown but, so far I am impressed. Well done Michelin.

After a few inches of snow I realized they are very weak in the fluffy stuff and went to my dedicated winter tires.

Default I loved them.

I got a set from tire rack last August for my '07. Loved them. Quiet, they did not hunt like the Goodyear runcraps.

Go rid of the car a few weeks ago. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat!
