Default Why does one tire wear on the outside?

The front driver side is wearing on the outside and the other front tire is not. Anyone know what causes this?

Worn or damaged suspension component(s) or a bad alignment.

Patrick is right. Take it to a shop for an allignment check. You should be feeling a vibration in speeds over 60 miles.

Re: Alignment

Bad alignment doesn't mean vibration.

Sounds like for some reason the camber setting is way out of specs on the side that's wearing abnormally.

Hopefully it won't mean a damaged upper or lower control arm.

You'll need a good FOUR WHEEL alignment that starts in the rear with the thrust angle, rear toe and camber. No caster adjustment on the rear.

Shouldn't be too difficult to get the problem fixed.

Good luck with it.
