I'm thinking of some new sneakers for my '01 coupe. Just researching, at this point, since there's a lot more snow heading my way, so the car will be sitting for a while longer.

Anyway, while checking several sites, I still see that some of them are claiming to be selling the Firestone Firehawk SZ50 run-flats. I know that at one time, people here liked them, but to the best of my knowledge, these tires were discontinued 2-3 years ago. In fact, I asked a friend, who works for a local Firestone dealer, and he assured me that they're no longer available.

How can 2-3 fairly large online suppliers still be advertising them? Is there that much "old stock" out there?

Thanks, Luke, for the info. When I didn't get any feedback here for a couple of days, I e-mailed Firestone directly, and they confirmed that. What really surprises me, is a couple of "Corvette oriented" specialty shops, as well as Summit Racing, are claiming to have "new stock" of these tires....
