265/40/17 fronts & 295/35/18 rears on STOCK C5 wheels?

Has anyone tried to run Z06 Size tires which ar 20 centimeters wider than standard C5's on stock wheels which are 1" narrower than Z06 wheels?

Z06 setup:265/40/17 on 17x9.5 in front, 295/35/18 on 18x10.5 in rear

Coupe and convertible setup: 245/45/17 on 17x8.5 in front, 275/40/18 on 18x9.5 in rear

Any input is appreciated.
