Mixing old and new g-Force KD tires for road racing
Will using two three year KD's up front with a lot of thread and two new ones in the rear, cause me problems similar to having KD's up front and Kumho V700's in the rear?
I'm trying to decide on 4 new Kumho's vs buying 2 new g Force KD's.
Thanks for all comments.

With the KD's, the end with less tread will hold better; if you run same size F/R I'm guessing you have more trouble with losing the back end.
When mixing, the end with the Kumho's will stick much better; better make sure it's the rear!
Of course if you're seriously into the roadracing/autocross and have a spare set of rims, the KD's aren't even close to a full set of Kumho's.

Re: Mixing old and new g-Force KD tires for road racing (gcrouse)
Thanks George,
I have a spare set of wheels;17x11's and 17x10's. I want 315's in the rear and 275's up front. Based on you're comments I'm going with new Kumhos.
I currently have 275 KD's on four 89 Vette wheels. I'm hoping these will fit on my daughters "99" Z-28. If they, do we'll have a great time at Gingerman and Putnam.

If it's a not a dedicated race car, I'd keep the KD's to run on the street, then swap the Kumho's on for track use. They'd be ok to and from the track if it's close, but race tires can only take a limited number of heat cycles and you'll use them up real quick with street driving.
