Default 17 x 11 A molds

I am looking for a set of track wheels and tires for my 93 coupe, preferably A molds. I currently have 17 x 9.5 rims on all four corners. What are the benefits to going to an 11" rim on the rear? Will the 315/35/17 on the rear rub the fender?

They will not rub the fender. I'm sure they handle better, I don't drive too hard, so I don't know for sure. They do look a lot :reddevil than stock 285s. Be sure to get GS offset (50mm) and not ZR1 offset. The ZR1 wheels stick out past the fender too much.

Why not buy a set of 4 17x11" GS offset wheels, w/315's? This is the combo I run on my 89. If these are for just racing, they are perfect. If you run enough camber they will tuck completely under the fenders. The cornering grip is quite impressive over the 17x9.5" set up. Also, mine don't rub on the front or the rear, even at full lock.

I will probably use them some for daily driving also I'm not sure if the wider front tires will give enough clearance for my brake ducts. Thanks for the input it is something to consider.
