I really want BFG Kd's, but the right rear tire is on national back order :mad

I need a tire right now so waiting is not an option.
What is your opinion on another tire as good or better?
295/35/18 size tire:
Bridgestone Potenza S-02
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar
Michelin Pilot Sport
Yokohama AVS Sport

Looking at these tires from tirerack the Potenza S-02 seems to rate the best.
thanks for your input.

Probably Supercar tire. I liked mine, but the KD's I have now are stickier.

Mike,

I had the 315/35/17 AVS Sports on my Camaro SS and thought they were a great tire.. I would say it was as sticky on the street as my 275/40/17 Nitto DRs (which I'm sure was due to the extra width). Those Yokohamas were also excellent in the rain. However, in comparing the Yokohama AVS Sports to the BFG g-force KDs on Peter Schma's C5, the KD is a much softer tire. I think those tires are grippier in the dry than the Yokohamas, but I would give the Yokohamas a shot if you ever plan on driving in the rain.
Have you tried talking to Daniel Lindsay at Firestone to see if he can cut you a deal on the S02s?

thanks Rob.
I don't drive in the rain so I want maximum traction, which is why I like the BFG's....

I want them too. I heard the tire was discontinued. If the tire is discontinued and not to be produced, then I'm concerned about getting 'em 'cause I will not be able to replace a tire shouls something happen to one. But then I heard they will be starting up production again. I don't what the hell is going on. Don't know if the fact that Michellin owns BFG has anythng to do with it. Just when I thought I had the tire i wanted. I'm waiting for a response from BFG to see if they will resume production.

Just a correction on my previous post above. BFG says they are not discontinued - they are just on back order as everyone else is saying (obviously they are having production issue meeting demand - great way to lose sales). So if you want KD's, it will be a while. Oh, well, I have plenty of run-crap rubber to burn anyway.
