Default Gains From Larger Tires?

I plan to get new tires before to much longer (probably NT05s) and was wondering how much gain in traction (60' and cornering) I would get if I changed wheel and tire sizes from C5 to C5 Z06 sizes? Is that enough size change to notice?

I hope I am not butting in.
To add to the question, what are the pros and cons to Z06 sizes all around, or 18's up front?
I'll delete if this is out of line.

I'm also wondering if the weight savings from non run flats would be enough to make up for heavier repro wheels?

Not quite, but it also depends on the tires/wheels.
Wheels can be 5lbs to as much as 10 lbs/ea heavier. You will gain some of that back with non runflats.

I wouldn't think that would hurt it to much?Maybe a few hp?I'm ok with the way the stock wheels look so I just can't see paying big money for a set of wheels to save a few pounds.

Just an fyi.
Stock GY tires weigh 30 lbs front and 35 lbs rear.
Firestone wide oval non runflats in Z06 sizes weigh 27 and 31.
This is per tire rack.
