TPMS question

I have recently purchases a complete set of 4 wheels, tires and Tire Pressure Sensors to be used at the track.

I know these new TPS will need to be programmed once on the car.

I now have one set just for the street and one set just for the track.

My Question: Will I need to go through the TPMS reprogramming sequence everytime I swap wheels & tires on the car???

yes you will need to reprogram the TPMS when you swap the wheel and tires ... not really a big deal it only take a couple of minutes

I just ordered the ATEQ UNIVERSAL TPMS TRIGGER from Tire Rack..

I knew it would not be a hard thing to do, I was able to do it with my C5 without having to buy a special triggering tool. I was just trying to find out here whether I needed this tool or not for my C6...

You can do that, or you can drive on the track tires without them. The car would need to be driven for roughly 20mins at speeds above 30mph until all sensors read XX. A/H would not apply but you can run the car with both TC and AH turned off.

When you put the street wheels back on the car it will take it a little while but the car will pick them up again.

If it sees any sensor at all the car goes into reduced handling mode so if you do the switch it can not have any sensor reading at all.

Thanks Anthony. I think I've got myself covered now. I bought another set of sensors for the track wheels and tires so I now have two complete sets, each with their own sensors. Plus I bought the triggering tool to reset them. So I think I'm pretty well set to just reprogram (relearn) everytime I swap sets.
