Default NT05 Loudness compared to PS2, Invo, etc...??

Posted on the C6 forum but only one response so trying here

I am putting on 19 f/r wide tires on my Vert with Z06 body and want great performance, long life not really an issue, noise is pretty important though, Invo is not a super performance tire but maybe better for colder weather, etc?

The car mainly will just cruise, a bit of spirited canyon driving but also see a bit of Autocross and a few HPDE events once I get a roll bar worked out, I am not worried about winning anything, swaping tires is not going to happen so I am much oriented towards best all around tires but not horribly noisy.

Not that I want everything!

I want WIDE rear tires, 325 would be the absolute minimum, 275 up front but my wheels are a tad wide so may have to run 285's.

Anybody ran at least 2 of the three that can report on noise issues?

Thanks
Rick

I briefly had NT-05's in the wrong size for my setup for 300 miles. In my opinion I didn't notice them being any quieter or louder than the PS2's for street use. Ride, handling, and noise were very close. Never had a chance to try them in the wet though.

Now that my car is tubbed and I've changed wheel sizes, I will probably go with NT-05's again once my current tires wear out.

I've had all three on my 2008 Z06. Nitto INVO is the best for what you want. They hook up very well, just as good as the PS2 IMO. The NT05 is slightly better traction but sacrifices the quietness and smoothness of the INVO. PS2 is horribly overpriced IMO for the same performance... that is everyday cruising, occasional spirited driving... The PS2's may have a slight edge in autocross, but they are not the best in wet weather conditions, etc. So for the price, and your goals... it's the INVO for the win!!! Good luck in whatever you choose. let me know if I can help you out any further.
