So, they are only decent for street and kind of suck for track driving because you don't list or sell them on your website? The Nittos aren't designed for track use.
No mistake at all! I have a full set of Nitto Invos and they are very good for the street and mountain road driving. Plus, they are resonably priced.

My opinion has nothing to do with what we have on our website or what we sell. I have driven the Invos many times on several different race tracks as well as on the street. They just do not perform very well. For a low buck cruiser tire they are 'ok' and offer a good deal of 'bang for the buck' but for true performance ability ... well, it ain't there. It's not a conspiracy or a coincidence that every time they are in a tire test, no matter who is doing the testing, (i.e. C&D, GRM, AutoWeek, MT, SCC, you name the tester) they are at the bottom in almost all, if not every, performance category.
here are the numbers from a recent C&D test
Quote:
The test covered several different areas of performance. AutoX , skid pad , braking , price and ride quality. I am not going to reproduce the entire article but, here are some of the numbers
after the testing the Car and Driver test drivers and staffers still consider the Pilot Sport PS2 the top summer performance tire.
Final Results for the challengers
#1 Dunlop Star Spec
#2 Hankook V12 EVO
#3 Kumho Ecsta XS
#4 Bridgestone RE760
#5 BF Goodrich KDW2
#6 Yokohama S-Drive
#7 Falken Azenis
#8 Nitto Invo
#9 Lin Long L688
I have been on this forum for almost 10 years and as many can confirm I do not, now nor have I ever, allowed my professional opinion or technical advice to be swayed or based on products we carry or profit margins.
In the end it's pretty simple, I view this forum as a place to offer technical advice to fellow enthusiasts nothing more and have treated it as such for almost a decade. It should not be treated as a profit center used to achieve ones own personal, financial goals.
The Nitto INVO is by far the best tire for your money. We carry all brands of tires, if your interested.
The only "edge" you'll have with a Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 for example is at speeds in excess of 140 mph. Don't waste your money if your not a semi-professional race car driver.
Like I have stated many times before here on the Corvette Forum, if your not racing, this tire cannot be beat. It hooks up just as well as a PS2, it's quieter, better in the rain, lasts a tad longer, and cost far less.

I do not claim you to be bias, but being in the tire business you of all people should know that the same tire in different sizes, on a different car can have dramatically different results. The tire tested in the test you quoted was a 225/45R-17 size, which has zero bearing on how this same tire might perform on a Vette.
That said, if you have any tests that show the INVO performing poorly in Vette(or very similar sizes) I would like to see it. I plan on purchasing new tires soon and would like all the imfo I can get.

That article does not exist. I have yet to meet someone unhappy with Nitto INVO's... they are simply the best tire on the market for your money. If super quiet, super smooth, great in wet weather, and phenomenal traction sounds good to you, stop looking, and just grab a set.
Good luck finding a tire that has all of those features, especially for the INVO price point. If you want a little better traction, the NT05 is a great tire, but not as quiet or comfortable... it's also about 40% cheaper than the PS2's for example. Not that the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's are bad... they just cost a lot more for very little benefit. (benefits that you will never see under 150 mph+)
