Default Can i run 285/30/18 on front?

i have the ccw classics, front rim is 18x11. i run a 295/35 front and 335/30 rear right now. i get the AH and T/C errors when i go into a hard turn b/c the front tires are just 1/4" taller then the rear.

if i get a 285/30, the front tire will be a whole 1.25" shorter then the rear which will eliminate my issues. however, do you guys think a 285/30 would look wierd as a front? the 295/35 i have now fills up the wheel well pretty nicely.

i believe a 285/35 will work as its 0.06 smaller then the rear (its a close margin) but its a tough size to come by. should i just wait for the 35 series profile or go with the 30 series.

also, am i messing with the speedo and mileage meters by going to such a smaller tire?

the reason i ask is b/c a fellow vette member posted a set of michelin pilots in 285/30 and for a great price. i really want them but i noticed the 30 series and i question it now.

Any input would be great, thanks all...
Aj

They'll work fine. Your speed sensor is your differential.

With all the work you're doing why are you still listing it for sale ?

What are you going to buy next ?

I want to sell so I can have the large lavish wedding that my gf wants. I also need just a few more grand to be able to buy her the 15k ring. Lol

it's also been 5 yrs with this car and it's time to either step it up a notch with FI or sell it. If I bought something new it would be a couple yrs down the road and will prolly be a GTM. All theory right now but who knows.

Is ur car done now? All the body work and why not?
Thx again Tony!

I'm like you, it's been 5 years and my life has changed some. I'm married and already did the wedding and wedding ring thing, so that is behind me.

I finished the body work, but have decided to move on myself and buy a 2001 SW Z06. Ever since I saw one up at Carlilse I have been drooling over the car.

Going to pick it up this Friday.

BTW, here is what old blue looks like.

Good Luck with the wedding.

Tony
