Trying to find a matching tire tread front/rear for the Z06 was difficult. Sure there are the PS2's, but I'm frugal. Best bang for the buck. Ended up finding 275/40-17 and 295/35-18 on the internet for $1089 shipped. I brought this over to Discount Tire and was surprised they matched the price. Total out the door was $1159 for the tires/mounting/balancing.

Just got to drive them home for 1 mile. Had balding Supercars on the front and almost new BFG KDW 2's on the back. Ahhhh, the car is comparatively quieter. I was trying to find BFG KDW's for the front so I wouldn't have to swap all 4 tires out, but they aren't even planned for a production run in the near future.

Like the rim guard, though my front rims were curb rashed before I bought the car. They look fatter than the KDW's from the back. Like the tread design.

Will report back on like/dislikes in the near future. I do not track the car, but do like making legal spirited runs up in the mountains around San Diego.

Default Wow....

I have the 2006 C6 and only 20,000 miles. I got a quote today from the dealer to replace all four for $1676+tax.

Goodyear Eagle P245/40 Z R18 TPC 1215 on front
Goodyear Eagle P285 35 Z R19 TPC 1216 on rear

hummmmm...

I went to www.discounttires.com for the price matching. It's different than discounttire.com. Took me a minute to figure what was different. Just the "s" at the end.

Thanks for the www.Discounttires.com clarification. Another good resource to have.

See ya

I've put about 200 miles on then so far. With the fatter front tire it takes a little more effort to turn the steering wheel. Nothing to drastic though. As for carving corners, they seem on par with the GY super cars. I haven't really pushed them to the limit yet like I have done the SC.

The best thing about these tires is that they are quiet. I would have to compare my car to my Jeep Liberty now on how quiet the interior is. I do have RAAMAT and Ensolite in the rear hatch area and the doors. (One of those projects I have to finish)

Hate to bring a topic back up, but any problems with traction control/active handling coming on when accelerating or braking hard? I was told the taller tire in the front would cause problems.
