Default wheel offset math??

Quick question. What is the diference between 18x8.5@56mm and 18x9.5@40mm? Is it 1"16mm away from the wheel hub? In other words, will Z06 wheels stick out 1" + or - 16mm?
Tried search and found the info. Just unclear on the specifics.

May have answered my own question. The wheel will stick out 1 1/8th inch farther? (1.141732inches)
Back wheel will stick out 1 13/16ths inch farther? Back is no problem. Quarters will be here any day.

Budddy,
neither of those wheels mentioned in your original posts are Z06 sizes, if that's what your trying to calculate.

The 18 x 9.5 is OEM Z06 and I thought the offset was 40mm?

17x9.5 - 54mm
18x10.5 - 58mm

These are pretty close to flush on stock Z06

The 9.5 x 40mm will sit 1.13" "further out" than the 8.5 x 56mm wheels.
