Default Damage to runflat caused by dismounting?

I recently had a low tire pressure warning and found I had run over a nail with my Goodyear runflat. After the Goodyear dealer dismounted the tire to patch it, he showed me some cracks on the inside of the tire where the sidewall meets the tread. One of the cracks was about 8 inches long. It only had 7000 miles on it and I had to buy a new tire. I would like to know if this damage was caused by improperly dismounting the tire? Should I look for this kind of damage on the other three tires? Did the dealer goof up and make me pay for his mistake? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I hate to ask, but how far/how fast did you drive with the low pressure?

Less than a mile and I still had 24 lbs of air in the tire.
(My wife went to Marion.)

I would think that would be covered under warranty! I would complain. Just my 2 cents.

Sounds like a factory defect and should be covered under warranty.

That sounds what the inside of a non-run-flat tire looks like when driven flat/low. I have heard other reports about Firestone run-flats having those cracks too.

I would definitely pursue a warranty replacement.
