C4 to C5 wheel adapter question.

I'm getting ready to get a set of 2000 style wheels for my '85. The adapters from ecklers and others all say they are to allow 17" wheels on my car. Does this mean I need a different adapter for the 18" rears? Or does it mean I can only go with the 17"s? Or do I just use the same adapter and it is fine?
