1. If you unexpectedly come across standing water you better be ready (I nearly wrecked going around an overpass that suddenly was drenched in water... A6s suck in standing water). This one experience caused me to go buy a truck and a trailer.
2. These tires pick up EVERYTHING and fling it at your car.
3. Unlikely, but IF a LEO catches you, you're possibly in for some real trouble. They're not legal for street use in CA regardless of the DOT stamp and some LEOs won't let you drive away on them with a fix-it ticket.

Location: 500 Miles too far from where I want to be
not to mention that the tire is not as puncture resistant as your everday street tire... a sharp rock, glass, metal, or even a pothole ( not that CA has them ) can do some real damage if hit just right.
At some events, guys would drive a 1/4 mile or so to the events from the hotel, but any more than that, they felt it was pushing it.
Not to mention the cost of the tires (I just ordered a set) relative to the tread life. IMO, depending on how much you race and how far you are from the track, you could pay for a trailer quickly just from the reduced wear on the tires. And as The Nut said, Hoosiers are not very puncture resistance.
