Default Black chrome for CCW's

has anyone done this?

if so any ideas on about how much it will cost?
or where I can have it done?

I love the polished look but I just dont have enough free time to keep up with cleaning them. Also I just like the look of black chrome I think it'll look nice on a black car

they are the rims in my avatar

Thanks in advance
-Doug

You can probably have them dipped at calchrome, but I'm sure it would be very pricey and you would have the added weight of chrome.
I searched for over a year for a place to powder coat my 505's in black chrome. Once I finally found a decent shop to do it, they looked at my wheel and figured they could not do it due to how close the spokes were. I was told they would not get an even spray for the pc and it would create a very uneven surface. By looking at your avatar, I'm guessing your wheels would be worse than 505's!! LMK if you find a place though!!

btw, polishing is a beeotchhhh!!!

I bought some C5 Z06 wheels black chrome from these guys.
http://www.bjschromeandcustom.com/
They were about 1800.00 and that included the OEM Z06 wheels. I have had them for about three years or so. No problems.
Might be worth a try.
Good Luck
Tim

It was $75 per wheel, but that was a pretty unique deal, the regular price should be around $100 per wheel.
