What would those tires be? There might be better tires for a Subaru but for a Corvette with the extra weight and more HP/torque, it is a good tire.
In terms of price, the MX is a good deal and I find them quiet on the freeway and wear is very reasonable for a 220 rating.
True, the MX is not a great rain tire but they will work if you watch speeds and don't push the car hard in the wet. For a street tire, they are a great value.
I have run my MX's (275/40-17) on my 87 for three years now including a number of track days and a few autocross events where wet days keep me from bolting on my Hoosier slicks.
For track days use, they work fine once they warm up but it does take 2-3 laps to get enough heat in them . They are predictable and will let you know when they are driven at their limits. The only bad thing about them is that after the tread is down to about 40%, the compounds that make them a nice sticky tire start to go away. Then you have to be more careful in listening to the tires and how they feel.
