How do I get CCW 505's back to like new? There is slight pitting on the inside and just plain old road on the rest so how much work to get them back to new. What products and/or kits make this job the easiest! There is no curbing or bad scratches just don't have the shine they should have... Thanks
Just about any of the current paste waxes made for metals will work. Mother's makes a good polish. Adam's also has a very good 2 step polish and wax treatment. Whatever you use, I would finish the job with a coat or two of Rejex. If they're really in bad shape you can always send them back to CCW. I just spoke to John last week and he told me they will polish used CCW wheels for $50 each. I didn't think that sounded like a bad deal.

Your first sentence made me Just to make sure almondted doesn't get confused, he needs to polish first, then protect the surface with a wax or product such as Rejex. The pitting may require a bit more abrasive compound, followed by subsequently finer polishes to restore the finish.

I stand corrected. I meant to say paste polishes like Blue Magic or Mothers. Thanks for catching my error.

What abrasive compound would you recommend?
Thanks for the input so far...
Well, you always want to use as mild a product as will get the job done. So I would try some of the different metal polishes (I've used Mother's, but there are many good ones out there) and see if that is getting the job done. If not you will have to step up the level of abrasion. Believe it or not, I've used steel wool (I think 0 or 00 to start) and rubbing compound to cut through the road crud that had done a number on some bare aluminum wheels which I had purchased used. Using successively finer grades of steel wool and then some fine metal polish brought them back. It took lots of time and elbow grease but it worked. Good luck.
Well, after about six hours of hard work with Mother's wheel cleaner then a little Rejex on top and I can't believe they looked any better when they were new! I don't have before pics but they were very pitted on the tub side and less than shiney on the outside.
To me the results are amazing! Thanks fella's for the advice.
Here are the after Pics...
