Default Diamond Tire

A friend of mine with a "73 has been looking for stock looking replacement tires. He has a 3/8" whitewall and no one he has talked to makes them. Accordiing to him he has tried Tire Rack, Coker, Cooper, Goodyear and Firestone. He finally found a place called Diamond Tire that says they can make them. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with them. Thanks

There are lots of threads in the C2 section about Diamondbacks. They actually vulcanize new sidewalls onto regular production tires.

That said, a whitewall tire is going to look odd on a C3, IMHO. Double red line, double gold line or raised white letter tires fit the C3 "look" much better.

I have white line Cooper touring tires on my '69. My car came factory equipped with white stripe tires so I wanted the same thing, plus it also has the P02 Deluxe wheel covers and I think blackwall or white letter tires just don't look right with the P02's.

Cooper only has the white stripe tires available in a limited number of sizes but one of their dealers should be able to get them for you. I have the P215/70R15 and the dealer got them in a day.
