Default Pirelli Assimetrico Re mounting

I've got a very slow leak on the inner bead of the front 275 tires.

I took it into the local merchants and they explained that often unmounting and remounting these particular tires will ruin the bead and make it leak worse.

it's a 19" CCW 505 rim. I've never heard of this. the tire leaks about 2-3 lbs of air a day.

I tried taking a bit of silicone sealer and running it around the bead but that didn't work, still leaks.

any suggestions?? I'd hate to replace the tire, it's still got plenty of tread.

i would take it to another wheel shop and get another opinion. i've never heard of that.

my opinion is that with that 19" wheel, that low profile tire probably scared him off. what i mean by this is that he probably didn't want to take the time to dismount and remount that tire. 19s and 20s are a PITA for most places to do w/o damaging the wheel especially a CCW wheel.

I've got the same tire in a 305 19 and I've got the same problem. I'm going to try reseating it and sealing it and hope it solves the problem.

the bead wcould have been damaged upon installation which is not uncommon for shops that do not deal with a lot of high performance low profile tires ... And their claim is totally baseless ...

that tire is no more prone to damage than any other tire sounds like a bunch of 'CYA'

I can recommend a GOOD tire shop in Springfield.
