Default Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 in C6 sizes

I'm getting ready to buy some Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s for my C6. There are quite a few options in the stock sizes:

245/40ZR18
93Y SL
93Y SL BMW
93Y SL Mercedes

285/35ZR19
SL BMW
(99Y) SL Ferrari

What are the differences between those? Do the BMW and Mercedes and Ferrari versions have a different compound or what? Which one should I get?

From what I have been told, the tires and compounds are the same. The only difference is the auto manufacturer (BMW, Mercedes) puts a designation on those for specific OEM usage. But the tires are identical.

there are differences in the BMW, Mercedes Benz and standard versions of the PS2 beccause the engineers for the car companies wanted some type of change in the tire and Michelin made those changes to get an OE fitment. However they do not release any information on what change was made ....

Thanks guys. All I know is that I won't be getting the Mercedes version since it's probably biased more towards the comfort side than the others.
