Can chrome wheels be powder-coated?

I have alot of pitting on my chrome stock wheels and was wondering if there is any way to strip the chrome off and powder coat them?

You don't have to strip them to powder coat them. Sure you don't want to rechrome. O/W just clean and apply then bake until golden brown....oops I mean until done properly.

If the chrome isn't flaking off, leave it alone. You might want to sandblast the chrome to get the finish even, and if the pits are too bad you'll need to fill them with a powder-compatible filler of some sort.
