Default any tried the Michelin PS 2 ZP's?

I am thinking of putting the 285/35ZR19 99Y Pilot Sport 2 ZP's on the back of my C6. I have a M122 S/C and extra mods on the Vette and the stock tires just aren't holding. I have read lots on the PS2's but only have manufacturer reviews on the new Michelin run flats. Any experience with these tires would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have never even seen that tire and do not believe it to be readily available in the US

Default Michelin PS2 ZP - summer 2008

Sorry all. If I had read more about the Michelin preview at the show in Las Vegas, I would have noted that they are not due to release until summer of 2008.

Regardless, I am going with the PS2's and not waiting for the runflats. Many members have suggested I will not be able to plant the power of the M122 supercharger without "non" runflats.

This was also suggested by the people that installed the S/C. Thank you for the thoughts. I am also joining AAA as most of my long distance driving is along fairly well populated interstates. Then, I am purchasing a good 12 volt air compressor and am going to learn to plug a tire. If it is ripped to shreds I will just have to wait for AAA.

Again, thank you very much for your thoughts.

Luke,

I just checked out Tire Rack online and you guys have in stock Michelin Pilot Sport ZP in 275/35-18 and 345/19-30 sizes. So with what you stated, are they or are they not in stock?

You also have in stock the Sport Edition Z06 Light Grey Painted rims and the TPS's according to your website.

Please let us know, Joe

You do realize you're talking about a different tire than the subject of this thread, right? The Pilot Sport ZP is not the same as the PS2 ZP, just as the non-run flat Pilot Sport is not the same as the non-run flat PS2.

things are getting alittle confused now ... let's see if I can straighten out the cornfusion ...

there are 4 tires in question, all four are different. Here is the list

Pilot Sport (well known, direction tread design)
Pilot Sport ZP (similar in appearance to the Pilot Sport but runflat construction)
Pilot Sport PS2 (Michelins BIG DOG, Asymetric tread design with C3M contruction)
Pilot Sport PS2 ZP (similar to the PS2 but with runflat construction)

visually the ZP versions look almost identical to the non ZP counterparts as far as tread design and compounds but the runflat contruction dramtically changes the tires handling and ride quality.

I called Michelin and the customer service rep said he wasn't aware of any new PS2 ZP's in C6 Corvette sizes scheduled for introduction next year. Of course, we know better, based upon the SEMA announcement. Has the availability date become any better defined in the last few weeks?
