Which tires do you like on your C3?

OK, I'm putting new tires on the '75 and from what I've seen or read there are roughly 4 choices. So I'm wondering what everybody else is running and enjoying? I'm not planning to race or drive the car real hard. I just want something that drives smooth and quiet. I'm planning on using stock size 225/70/15's. Are there any issues with that? In terms of choosing between these tires.

They're all good choices. The last set of tires that my wife's '79 wore were Firestone Firehawks, but they don't make them anymore....

I keep hearing that, but Firestone's website doesn't say anything about them being discontinued.

They haven't been discontinued, as far as I know. They've been "upgraded" to the Firehawk Indy name, rather than just Firehawk, as they were in the early '90s, when my wife still had her C-3.

I was at the Firestone dealer yesterday, they are discontinued. Get them why you can.

I wonder if it isn't simply the end of the IMS branding partnership, and the tires will be continuing under a new name. Firestone's website is silent, it would be nice to know.

That's good to know. My guess is that one party or the other decided to withdraw from or not renew the IMS branding license. It's too bad, I like having "Indy 500" on my sidewalls.
