Default Changing Tire Size

I currently have an original set of Goodyear Polysteel radials on my '82 (24,000) miles. Tires are 225 70R15's. I'm looking at a set of 255 60R15 eagle GT's, I want to store the original tires. I believe that these will be O.K. on my stock aluminum wheels since the tire size was an original option upgrade. Am I right? Thanks.

Default Re: Changing Tire Size (82Jaws)

I have 255's on my 74. No problems with them rubbing. Others have said that they may have a little rubbing in tight turns. I think it has to do with what state your suspension is in. I have the Gymkhana suspension which is a little stiffer than the standard suspension, maybe that's why I havent had any problems.
