Default Looking for Quiet

My drive is a 1996 LT1, automatic, stock.

It is time for new tires and I would like to concentrate on comfort and quiet ride.

I live in Honolulu and my daily drive to work is about 45 minutes one way at speeds that are usually less than 50 mph, on roads that are fair to good.

Wet road handling is a minor consideration at best.

What do you suggest for the best in comfort and quiet?

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 would be the best tire, but kinda pricey.

Kumho Ecsta SPT is a very good lower priced tire.

I bought the Sumitomo HTRZII tires to replace my runflats.
Nice tire Quiet and Cheap I bought mine at sears buy 3 get one free.
Paid under 600.00 mounted and balanced.

I've only put on 1500 miles since but a huge difference I can cruise the freeway with the top down and have a normal conversation. I still have pretty good traction wet and dry. I would rate these a 8.5 out of 10.

At that price I will buy these again my other choice was the GSD3, I figure I can go thru 2 sets of Sumitomo for the same price.

Good luck!
