If you have experience with either of these combinations, what is your opinion of appearance, i.e. does the tire look OK on the larger wheel widths? Any performance issues?

ray, for the front I am also running an 18x9.5 wheel. I am using a Michelin Pilot Sport AS ZP. 275x35x18. In my opinion this is a great tire. It is the perfect fit for the 9.5 width rim. This is the
exact size used on the
C6 Z06 with a 9.5 rim and thus works perfect with
no AH, TC, or ABS issues. I think you will be dissapointed if you put a 245 on the 9.5 rim. I saw one at a car show last week and the sidewall does not come even with the rim edge.
The Michelin is very sticky, very quiet , and great wear. After 6 thousand miles both fronts measure 7/32nd. This is not a typical hard ridding run flat. This tire is designed to go 50 miles without air. If you remember the GY tires for the C-5 were designed to go 200 miles without air. They were the worst tires I ever used and took them off my C-5 two weeks after I bought the car.
The Michelins are much more complient and in my opinion there is no penalty for using the runflat feature with this design tire.
