Rumor has it, it wont fark up the tire sensors. Tire rack is back ordered... any other sources? My interweb searching skills turned up nothing.
This is from the write up on Tire Rack's website for the Contikit:
quote:This product's sealant may interfere with the tire pressure monitoring sensors on vehicles with direct TPMS, possibly leading to error prompts and incorrect pressure readings. Use of this product on direct TPMS vehicles could also result in damage to the tire pressure sensor inside the wheel. Please contact your sales specialist at The Tire Rack for more information.

Has anyone contacted TireRack to see what they say? I did a google search and found a posting from January on a BMW forum by "Gary" at TireRack who said that Continental's position is that the latex sealant can be washed/peeled off the sensors. The controversy is that the sensor manufactures say it may result in damage. The first sentence in the above quote is directly taken from the ContiComfortKit instructions -- it simply says that while the sealant is in the tire, the sensors may give false readings so you need to use the ComfortKit pressure gauge.

Continental no longer claims "no sensor damage" from the sealant...only that the product "works with TPMS systems"(whatever that means).
Could be just a "CYA" position on the part of Continental, but I find it frustrating that in all my years in the Forum, I haven't read of ANYONE ACTUALLY USING the sealant on a flat tire and reporting if the sealant damaged the sensor.
