Default Rims question , NEED HELP!!

Hi guys, I was wondering is their is any benefit in going from my stock set up (18's in the back and 17's up front) to 18's all around. I like the C6Z rims in polished alloy or chrome. My car is a c5z, thanks.

ps Where would you guys suggest to buy the c6z rims from??

Thanks

Chris

Default kinda in the same boat.....

i just bought an '02 z0 convertible (yes, convertible) and was thinking of my wheel/tire upgrade. i was looking at the c6 z0 wheels as well, but i think in keeping with the c5 theme, i'm going to go with the c5 z0 motorsports, chrome, in 18' and 19's. i've read a lot of posts on the subject, and one thing i read seems to make sense to me, there's a reason why our rides have a "raked" wheel setup (17/18's, 18/19's, etc.) so i want to keep that "engineered" thought intact. just my .02.

but i have also seen some nice examples of 18/18's and 19/19's as well.

bottom line...... your car, your cash, your choice. do what you think is going to look good TO YOU.

as for where, west coast corvettes (hope it's ok to mention them) has a couple nice wheel packages going right now, but i'll prolly just go to america's tire and have them match as close to the WCC pricing.

good luck and post up pix whichever way you go.

just a few things to consider with your wheel decision. As far as advantage goint to 18's all around, a few positives. You would have more room for a bigger brake package up front, shorter sidewall could be a benifit in handling, looks nice to my eye up front anyway and good tire selection in all 18 sizes.
Thing is I like the staggered look so I went with an 18/19 combo, but then your tire selection is more limited and more $$$$$$. As for where to buy look at the forum vendors as they offer a wide variety of finishes and sizes. I bought CCW so I can't really help ya too much with who is good to buy from, CCW was great, but you could do a search to find some answers to your question. One thing to keep in mind when buying repro wheels is they typically come in heavy compared to stock so look into that if it is important to you. Nice car BTW and good luck keeping all the Twin Turbo power hooked up when you get your system online.

Just a few things to consider,

Darion
