Default Backwards Tire Question

thanks upfront on this one... I have a virtually new set of Firestone Firehawk SZ50 tires 275/40 18 rears and 245/45 17 fronts.
Problem is I just put a used set of ZO6 rims on that are an inch wider than my stock C5 Speedlines, The Goodyear Eagle F1's that are on the rims are almost shot, also they are 295/35 18 rears and 265/40 17 fronts.

Can I use the Firestones with the obvious size difference or do I have to cough up the coin for another set of tires even though I had no complaints with the Firestones?
Thoughts/Suggestions/Comments/Wanna buy some C5 2001 Stock rims with Firestone tires?

Thanks!

If you are running the same size rim/tire combo on the same axle, then you are okay. But mixing sizes on the same axle can be a little dangerous and can potentially damage your rear. The smaller tires should fit, but shoukd fit. The snob in me says that it is a Corvette and not a Yugo... so drop the green and make it look right.

It was never about mixing tires or sizes. Just wanna to know if the C5 Fiestone tires that are like new would fit the ZO6 rims. Plain an simple!

tire specs
245/45-17 Rim Width Range...... 7.50 to 9.00
275/40-18 Rim Width Range...... 9.00 to 11.00
wheel spec
front = 17x9.5
rear = 18x10.5

so, the fronts would not fit the wheels correctly and the rears would ..... so, I guess we are back to the mixing and matching question ...
