How can I tell if my lip has a clearcoat on it? BBS RS-GT

I have a set of BBS RS-GT's for my C6 and I was wondering what type of lip it has.

On the description on tirerack, they say it's machined, so am I correct in assuming that it doesn't have a clear coat on it? Anyone have any recommendations on keeping it clean?

all BBS wheels have a clear coat finish and the RS-GT is not an exception it also has a clear coat finish on the spokes and the lip area

Also if I remember correctly the RS-GT's have a machined lip looked as if it was some sort of an overlay on the hoop and not the actual hoop machined and cleared. At any case to keep it clean; car soap and water. To keep dirt and brake dust off the lip and wheel try "Wheel Wax".
