I'm really trying to find a place in the Northern VA area that could paint these.
Also anyone recommend the best way to paint JUST the centers? I know its got to be a PITA to tape around the center PERFECT, but any suggestions would help!
They'ed need to be stripped, centers brushed, lips repolished, masked and painted. I honestly think that if you were to find a buyer for your wheels and even tires call and order the same set (or different if you want) prepped for paint you'd save yourself some money and sanity. That way you can just take the wheels to your painter, mask, and paint.
Yeah being that these are chromed I can't see painting them being easy. These were done back when CCW still had the wheels chromed (not sure by who but they look awesome!) Just don't think the chrome and silver really look that GOOD together.
I may tint the windows and it might help, but your right if I sell these I'm going with paint prepped SP500.
Lol...back when we did the painted wheels few months back we did a silver set of SP16A's that looked awesome. Actually went on a silver C6 w/fenders...
I agree you dont even really notice that there are nice black wheels on the black car because the wheels kinda blend in with the rest of the car. I think the chrome does nothing for the silver and the black wheel doesnt do much for the black car, so if you swap them around I think both cars would look way better.

I'm glad I got mine done when you were still doing painted centers. I get compliments everywhere I go.

Nope! We do however offer a preped for paint option. The wheels will come with brushed centers and polished lips so all your local painter will have to do is mask and paint.

It can be done but to get it done 100% correctly it takes alot of skill. Usually wants to fisheye and won't be a durable as it won't want to stick to such a fine surface. There will also be a difference in the shine; not horribly bad but noticable. The clear will add a slight milk white tint over the wheel; greatly noticeable against an uncoated wheel but just slightly dull to the eye.
