Z06 Tire on Stock Coupe Wheel

Would a 295/35/18 tire fit on a 18x9.5 wheel, or would it look bad? Or, get a bigger wheel 18x10.5. Photos would help. RayCE

I have a friend who bought the Firestone Wide Ovals Z06 sizes and were mounted by Tire Rack on his C5 thin spoke. They look and ride fine.
