Im changing my wagon wheels in for a set of aftermarket thin spokes. Is it going to be a pain to get the TPS's to work in the new tires? I will have the tire guys put them in the same side they camr from of course and also I understand there are batt. in the sensors, can you get these batt at CVS ?
Thanks

Well.....all I know about is the sensors in the C6, but I think the sensors for all models are sealed units and the battery can't really be changed. I know for the C6 (and I think all the sensors) the batteries have a "design life" of 10 years - although I'll be changing mine out for new ones if I'm getting new tires after the 6 or 7 year mark.

Having said that, I have read that C5 guys have had some success cutting open the sensor, soldering in a new battery, and resealing the unit with epoxy. Here's a link to one thread (there are a number of others - do a search in the C5 section for "sensor batteries"):

Good luck, but personally I'm not gonna bother changing the batteries - I'll just get new sensors!
