Default Tire stretching...disadvantages?

So I got a set of LG Motorsports, they are 18x10 and 19x11.

We got the factory size C6 tires on them, and they fit, but they are clearly stretched to fit.

LG and the tire shop said they would fit ok and they do fit, but I'm curious if there are any potential disadvantages of having the tires strech to fit a wheel like that.

Will they wear out much faster? Any type of performance issues?

I'm already aware that obviously, I have to be more careful about curb rash, but other than that is there anything I should be aware of?

Here's a pic of the rear...

Every tire manufacturer will publish a range of acceptable rim widths for each of its tires.
If your rim width falls outside these acceptable ranges, then you are going to give up something....... ..... I just don't know what, exactly, you'd be giving up by having rims too wide for the tire.

ShockwaveTXB,
I had a discussion with Luke at Tirerack about this. Lukes advice in general was that within reason, if the rim was smaller than ideal, the sidewall would not deliver the best performance due to the flexing caused in part by bulging.
Conversly, in your situation, Luke said that the sidewall performance could be inproved since it was more ridged if it had to "stretch" as in your case.

I don't want to speak for Luke and I suggest you call him to verify that what I thought he said he in fact said. I have found him to be very helpful and willing to discuss in depth issues like these.

I am running C6 sized runflats on 18x9.5" and 19x11" wheels... they look fine. Check it out...
