Kumho as wide as F1'S

I bought a set of Kumho 295/35/18's for my 03 Z06. They do not seem to be as wide as the F1's I took off. Has anyone ever compaired the two ?

Most tire makers post info about every tire they sell at their website, including actual size

Actually a lot will not post tread width.

Here are the widths from Tire Rack:
The OEM Goodyear runflats are EXTREMELY WIDE for their size. The tread width is even wider than the 295 Z06 tires, here are the specs (tread width)
-Goodyear F1 GS EMT (275) 10.3 inches
-Goodyear Z06 (295) 10.2 inches
-Firestone (275) 8.6 inches
-Goodyear F1 GS D3 (275) 9.4 inches
-Goodyear F1 GS-2 EMT (285, 19 inch diameter) 9.2 inches

Kumho's tend to run a little narrow. The 315's I ran last year were roughly equivolent to Hoosier's 305's. Both fit on a rear C5 Z06 rim about the same.
