Default Dismounting tires from wheel.

Is there a easy way to dismount tires from some chrome sawblades i am selling? the tires are trash but the wheels are in good shape and i want them to stay that way for the new owner. the local tire shop wants like $10 a wheel to dismount the tires thats $40 and a complete rip off i think. Anyways any help would be appreciated.

The best way is to use a plastic debit card: Insert it into the hand of the tire shop owner and stand back.
OK, OK - I am being a smartazz. But really, go to one of the local-yokle small town shops. Explain your intention and they should do all 4 for about $10. My small town shop charged me $50 total when I bought my last set of tires at Tire Rack. They pulled the wheels and tires off the truck, mounted the new tires, balanced them on a Hunter machine and then bolted them on to the truck again. $40 to dismount only IS a rip off.
Good luck!

I did it with big screwdrivers once. I only took 2 hours to do one tire. The wheels were old, so I didn't mind the marks.

Take it to Walmart. It's about $5 per tire. They mount my race tires all the time. You just have to be there to watch.
