Default what material are OE wagon wheels made from???

I have an oppertunity to pick up a clean set of chromies and one of them has a crack in the barrel. If it is steel I can just have it welded. If it is aluminum it might not be worth it. These rims will only be used while my car sits and maybe a set of DR's in the future.

I'm fairly certain it is an aluminum alloy.

Corvette wheels haven't been made of steel since the C3 Rally Wheels of the 1970's.

Yes, wagon wheels are aluminum. They can be repaired; cost ya' about $100- $150 to weld and true an aluminum wheel at WheelsAmerica.
