Default Tire and wheel questions

My street sources tell me that I can put 255/40/17's on the front and 295/35/18's on the rear of my 2004 coupe using the stock (8.5" and 9.5") thinspokes without rubbing, but will handling be noticably affected?

If I go to 9.5" /10.5" wheels front/rear, what's the largest size I can put on the rear? Then what should be the correct size for the front to "maintain the stagger"?

Thanks fpr your input!

Barney

You can use those sizes, but unless you go to a stickier compound you will not really gain any handling benifits. On a 10.5 you can go 305-315mm. You want .5-1.0 inch stagger, a little less is ok, but may cause codes once in a while.
