I want to stay with the Firestone runflats I have (80% tread left) for now.
I plan to upgrade next year ( budget issue)
I want to upgrade my wheels now to 17x 9.5 front and 18x 10.5 .
There is no issue on the rear as the tire fits the approved wheel size.
On the front the approved wheel size for 245/45/17 tires is 7.5 to 9.0.
probably be fine.you might need to run a little more air to keep an even contact patch.the sidewalls will be stretched tight so they wont have much give with a curb.on impact could blow the bead a little sooner.me,i would run them.
I run the same on the front of my car. You will not have any problems since the 45 aspect ratio will allow for the wider rims. They do look a little small, but work just fine.
Got the same set up on mine. cpe size firehawk runflats on z06 wheels.
i will be getting the z06 tires soon though. the others look too small on the wider wheels in my opinion.
