Will a 28in. diameter tire work?

I'm looking into changing my cheater slicks from a 26/11.50/16 to a 28/14.50/16. Has anyone tried running 28s? My concern is the diameter difference between the front skinnies (about 26.5in) and the 28in diameter rears and will it cause a traction control/active handling issue? Any help on this out there?
