Default Will I be happy with Sumitomo HTRZ's?

I'm needing new tires on my C4 with ZR1 wheel, 315's in the back. I have GS-D3's now and don't want to spend a grand for them, and a grand is a great price. Tire Rack has the HTRZ's for $400, great deal, but will I be happy? I like to corner and the GS-D3's work great! I don't race but go to the mountains a fair bit.

while a good value the HTR Z is nowhere near the performance level of the F1 GS-D3 .... it's not even on the same continent

I ran the HTRZ-II on my C4. They are ok, that's about it. As Luke said they wouldn't even compare to the GS-D3. I found they were a good all around tire for their price (cheap). In really cold weather they turn to rocks really fast. I also had problems keeping them balanced. I won't buy that brand again. That is my personal experience. YMMV.

If you can't afford another set of GS-D3 then see if the FS-WO comes in the sizes you need. I'm running them on my Z06 and for street use they work well and cost a little more than half what it would cost me for GS-D3.
