Default 17" wheels on a C6

Has any body tried to run 17s on the front of a C6? 18s on the rear.

I run 18 inch Fiskse FM5s all around for my track tires. It really depends on the wheel design. I believe the C5 Z06 factory wheels will clear the front brakes - but have not tried. Also the C6 Z51 front brake calipers require more clearance than the non-Z51.

Hi blkc6z51, I am running C-5 18" (stock C-5 rears) on all corners of a C-6 06 vert. Non Z51

I tried a stock C-5 17" front on to check for clearance and in my opinion it will clear but you have to be carefull with the type of weights you are using, (assuming you are using internal tape weights) due to the clearance between the weights and the rotor. I don't know about other types of wheels but a stock C-5 17" front will not clear the front rotor of a Z51 C-6.
Hope this helps.

Bob

Non Z51 C6's use the same rotors and calipers as the C5's so any C5 wheel should fit. As others have stated for the Z51 brakes you'll need 18" wheels up front. I recently installed C6 Z51 rotors on my C5 and went with 18" wheels all around.
