I want to purchase ZR1 wheels, but I am not sure if with the offset, the wheels won't be sticking out "too much".
I will be using those for road racing and autocross.
Please post some pictures, so I can see them on the car.

Check for "need" of spacer's on "your" year car........you may or maynot need them :confused:

17x9.5x56 front and 17x11x50 rear ....... 56 & 50 is the "off-set" you need, my rears stick out 7/8" and it varies from car to car according to the alignment specs that are on a particular car.......

Do not purchase any on sale with the "ZR1 off-set", as they will "stick out" way too far...... :nono:
50 is the GrandSport off-set, for the rear wheel :yesnod:

The handling of the car was improved GREATLY when 285/315 tire's where mounted............. :yesnod: :yesnod:

I've got the Grand Sport offset on my 17x11, they stick out about 1/4".

You want to tell me, that no one has those on?
That was the whole idea, to see how much they DO stick out. One person that has ZR1, is selling old set that he used for racing and I was thinking of getting it. Those wheels ARE ZR1 originals and with ZR off-set. Sooooo how much they will stick out????? :confused:
I could live with 3/4" each side, but more than that it would not be "healty" for my paint. I could allways put GS flares to protect the paint, but more than 3/4" would be too much.

Hey Ziggy,
The true ZR1 wheels will stick out about 1 inch. GS wheels only stick out about 1/4 inch (I used to have them on my car).

I can only agree with these other guys, don't get the ZR-1 wheels. Get the GS wheel, looks alot better... :D u can take a look at mine in my sig.

I would not get the ZR1 wheels...they stick out to far. Go with the Grand Sports :D :yesnod:

Fronts are standard size/offset. (9.5 in wide)

I have got the ZR1-s on mine......I don't mind it at all.....I can't post a pic here...but have lots of pictures ...give me an email I will send em over..

Nope. 17/9.5 all around,,with spacers,,,,

Gs offset here. stick out about 1/4", but took care of that with fender flares.

Dang! I was hoping they were. I like the buzzsaws but want larger wheels on the rear.

ZR1 whells from 90 I think, are the buzzsaws! But what they also will have is the ZR1 offset, which will stick out of the q-panel about 3/4 ~ 1". But if you don't mind that, you can have lots of "meat" in the rear with the buzzsaws :lol:

They are hard to find too.

91 was the first year of the Buzzsaw wheels. The 90 ZR1 had the same wheel as the standard 90 Corvette. Just 11" in the rear.

Is there a name for the 88-90 17" wheel?
