Default Nitto 555RII info

I called Nitto to get info on my new R2 tires. After managing to circumnavigate the phone answerers I finally got to a guy that gave me real info, not for road use, and definitely not for lawsuit use. He said he would deny anything other than what the car manufacturer recommends. Anyway, target hot pressure of 36-40 psi, hot temps 185-200+. He said you should be trying for the most even heat across the tread, adjust your alignment to achieve this.

Nothing ground breaking or secret, just the straight poop from the Nitto tech guy.

FWIW... I bought RII's this year and found 34 LBs worked well in the spring , but as summer came and the weather got really hot, I got the best times with 30-31 LB's at my autocross track.

I just put a fresh set on a month back. I've got 3 events on them all in 90+deg temps. I haven't checked them wit a pyrometer but I beleive it's safe to say they were damned hot!

I found starting at 34F/32R worked for the morning session before it got to 90deg. Afternoon session I had to bleed off air to keep the front at 38-40. I'm finding I like the rears to stay closer to the lower number of 36 hot. I'm also finding that I'm wearing the middle of the rears much harder than the edges. But the fronts show even wear.

This is all track. I don't use them for autox or street.
