I know I will probably get flamed for this... but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how big I can go on stock rims and be safe. Here is my plan…2004 C5 coupe removing not selling the stock magnesium rims/run flats and replacing with aftermarket C6 chrome wide spokes.
C6 Rim sizes are 17x8.5 and 18x9.5
I would like to lower the car on stock bolts and fill the well as much as possible.
I'm asking the forums advice on maximum tire sizes for the rim size?? I would also like to ask for tire recommendations.
For those of you wondering why I'm making a change....I like the look of the C6 wide spoke/Chrome. I’m keeping my original tire/rims just in case I decide to upgrade to a C6.
Thanks
